About Chong Hing Chip Card
A: You can visit any of our branches in Hong Kong, our staff can help to report the ATM card as lost and arrange for a new one to be issued.
Alternatively, you can report your ATM card as lost through Internet Banking (press "Setting" > "Card Service") or Mobile Banking (press "All" function>"Setting" >"Card Service") and select "Report ATM Card Loss" or you can call our 24-hour Chong Hing Card Report Loss Hotline at (852) 3768 6800 to report loss of your ATM card, please visit any of our branches in Hong Kong in person to arrange for a new card to be issued.
Please report unauthorised transaction(s) to our Customer Services Hotline immediately at (852) 3768 6888 or you can report your unauthorised transaction(s) of ATM card through Mobile Banking (press “All” function>“Setting” >“Card Service”) and select "Report Unauthorised Transaction of ATM Card", you can also select to temporarily block or unblock your ATM Card through Mobile Banking (press “All” function>“Setting” > “Card Setting”) if needed.
Generally, we will call you to follow up the case within 7 working days once we receive your unauthorised transactions dispute request of ATM card.
A: You may logon to Chong Hing Mobile Banking (press “All” function>“Setting” > “Card Setting”) and select “Temporarily block or unblock ATM Card”) to block or unblock your ATM card.
A: Yes. Each time you block or unblock ATM card, it will take effect immediately.
A: You will not be able to perform transactions when you choose to block your ATM card.
A: You can visit any of our branches in Hong Kong to change the daily local cash withdrawal and transaction limit of ATM card.
A: After you make such request at any of our branches, you can update the account changes or ATM language with the "Chong Hing Chip Card" via a chip-based ATM with logo on the next working day.
A: Yes. The existing ATMs (including those ATMs which have not adopted the "chip-based technology") could fully support the "Chong Hing Chip Card". Besides, you can make purchases with the "Chong Hing Chip Card" at merchant outlets marked with logo or logo, and your existing bills registered for Payment by Phone Service ("PPS")3 (if applicable) will remain unchanged.
A: ATMs which have adopted the chip-based ATM technology will display the icon .
A: : You can simply tap your new UnionPay Chong Hing Card on any reader with the “UnionPay QuickPass” logo at sales points and then enter your Card PIN into the terminal to complete the payment instantly, without card insertion and signing.
A: : From 22 March 2023 onwards, the ATM cards issued will be embedded with “UnionPay QuickPass” payment function when your application is done via the channels below:
- Existing customers apply for UnionPay Chong Hing Card replacement
- The UnionPay Chong Hing Card issued and sent to customers by post following account opening.
A: : No. Neither the sales points nor the Bank will charge you any handling fee.
A: The system will automatically choose the relevant currency based on the location of spending. The total transaction amount will be deducted directly from the primary account associated with the new UnionPay Chong Hing Card, and the exchange rate for converting foreign currency into the currency of primary account will be based on the rate provided by UnionPay at the transaction time.
About Security Tips for ATM Card
A: Customers should destroy the original printed copy of the PIN after memorising it. Customers should not allow others to use their ATM cards and PIN. Never write down the PIN on the ATM card face or on anything usually kept with or near it. For more security tips, please click here.

A: Customers should inform the Bank immediately by visiting any branch of the Bank or call the Bank's 24 hours hotline (852) 3768 6800 to report the loss, theft or unauthorised use of the ATM card and/or PIN.

A: The Bank's liability should be limited to those amounts wrongly charged to cardholders' accounts and any interest on those amounts.
A: If the ATM card or PIN is lost or stolen, provided that the cardholder has not acted improperly, fraudulently or with gross negligence, the cardholder's maximum liability for such card loss should be confined to a limit specified by the Bank, which should not exceed HK$500. If the cardholder has acted fraudulently, he/she would be liable for all losses.

A: Customers may visit any branch of the Bank or call the Bank's Customer Services Hotline at (852) 3768 6837 to express their opinions. Besides, customers are highly recommended to retain the ATM transaction slip (if any) from the outlet as evidence for investigation when required.
A: ATM cash withdrawal via "UnionPay" ATM outside Hong Kong will be converted to Hong Kong Dollars and deducted from the registered Chong Hing Bank HKD Savings Account. Handling fee of HK$25 per transaction will be charged for using non-"JETCO" ATM in Hong Kong and "JETCO" and "UnionPay" ATM outside Hong Kong. For details, please click here.
